The Sumy region has received 28 diesel generators as part of humanitarian aid from Spain. A total of 100 generators will be delivered to the region for backup power supply. The equipment has arrived from the warehouses of emergency energy assistance hubs provided by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation. The first batch includes 28 generators and motor oil for their operation and maintenance, with a total weight of 4.8 tons. The generators are aimed at enhancing the energy resilience of Sumy and ensuring backup power for critical infrastructure facilities. The region is located in a conflict zone, which poses constant threats to its energy infrastructure. It is also reported that two Ukrainian energy companies in the Odesa and Chernihiv regions have received equipment from the European Union worth €101,800 to prepare the energy system for the autumn-winter period.
