Gao Shanwen, the former chief economist of Guotai Junan Securities, has passed away due to illness at the age of 55. Born in 1971 in Linfen, Shanxi, he graduated from Peking University and the Graduate School of the People's Bank of China. He previously worked at the People's Bank of China, Everbright Securities, and Anxin Securities, and was one of China's important macroeconomists in the capital market. He authored works such as "At the Turning Point of the Cycle" and "Perspective on Prosperity: Concerns Deep in Asset Revaluation."
