Trump Media Cancels Crypto Projects
Trump Media announced that it will terminate its planned CRO treasury initiative with Crypto.com and Yorkville. The new management stated that this decision was made due to competition in the digital asset treasury market and changes in the company's priorities. The company plans to focus more on its core media operations and data and API licensing services. Additionally, it has decided to scale back the integration of the prediction market into the Truth Social platform. It is reported that Trump Media will redirect its resources towards the planned fusion energy merger with TAE. The decisions taken are seen as a simplification step aimed at reducing the company's risks associated with cryptocurrency. This development indicates that Trump Media is retracting from the digital asset treasury strategy it adopted last year. Trump's and his family's cryptocurrency projects have become the center of discussions about conflicts of interest in Washington. Democrats find the current ban on digital assets for the president and senior officials insufficient and are calling for more comprehensive provisions.
