Kaiko Research Analyzes After-Hours Demand for Tokenized Stocks
Investment demand in the tokenized stock market is flowing in response to major corporate news, even after the U.S. stock market has closed. According to a report by Kaiko Research, a trend has been confirmed where after-hours trading is concentrated in the spot trading data of Nvidia (NVDA), Apple (AAPL), and Amazon (AMZN). '24-hour trading' and investment accessibility have been presented as factors driving the use of tokenized stocks. Currently, the leading products by trading volume are perpetual futures, which have attracted speculative demand due to the combination of continuous trading and high leverage. Trading in Nvidia perpetual futures has increased since May 2026, with weekly trading volumes exceeding $1 billion by the end of August. The report states that spot prices support the price linkage of derivatives, and transactions that actually purchase tokens show demand for use that is distinct from short-term directional betting. In the case of Nvidia, trading volume surged on Bitget after the CEO's announcement on June 2, with 88.5% of the tokenized Nvidia spot trading volume occurring outside U.S. market hours. For Apple, the tokenized Apple spot trading volume reached $2.96 million on April 20, the highest in four months, coinciding with the announcement of a CEO change. Amazon saw trading volume reach approximately $3.2 million after its earnings announcement on July 30, with 40.6% of the daily trading volume concentrated in the hour following the announcement. Kaiko Research has assessed that tokenized stocks are establishing themselves as a means to reduce constraints on trading hours and asset accessibility.
