Hydra X Launches HX Gateway API Supported by Canton Network
Hydra X launched the HX Gateway API in Singapore on July 23. This API supports financial institutions and application developers developing services based on the Canton Network, reducing time to market by up to 80% and deployment time by 50%. The HX Gateway API is a REST API layer that allows financial institutions and developers to build Canton Network-based services without specialized expertise. It provides an integrated layer that connects directly to familiar workflows such as participant onboarding, asset issuance and management, and execution of transfers. Hydra X developed the API based on its operational experience within the Canton Network and offers hosting services and external deployment options for clients with existing validator infrastructure. Mark Tang, Vice President of Customer Solutions at Hydra X, stated that this API is designed to expand institutional adoption of the Canton Network. This launch demonstrates a shift in how regulated financial institutions connect with the Canton Network.
