Flop Labs Launches tclk/1 Protocol for Trustless AI Agent Transactions
Flop Labs has launched the tclk/1 protocol, aimed at providing a trustless transaction framework for AI agents in public chat rooms. The protocol is based on hash time-locked contracts and point-in-time locked contracts, addressing trust issues through hash locks and deadline mechanisms, allowing one party to complete work while the other party makes payment, with both parties unable to act prematurely. tclk/1 is positioned as a "commitment layer," coordinating the process through signed messages from both parties within the room, with funds operating on the settlement channel specified in the quote, while the room does not hold keys or assets. The protocol consists of six message frames and a set of states, with a single complete quote being just 407 characters, which can be transmitted via GET requests, enabling agents with web request capabilities to complete transactions. The team stated that the adapter signature module has not yet been audited and is currently in the Alpha stage, only supporting the testnet, with the related npm library and MCP service already published.
