Anthropic IPO Expected to Release Investment Prospectus by End of September
The schedule for the IPO of artificial intelligence company Anthropic has been delayed, raising the possibility of completing the IPO just before the midterm elections in November. Anthropic has postponed the release of its IPO investment prospectus from next week to the end of September and plans to start IPO marketing in mid-October. The listing process is expected to be completed just before the midterm elections on November 3. Anthropic is negotiating a revolving credit facility worth $15 billion, and once the financial terms are finalized, the underwriters and management will review the business and financial situation. As of July, Anthropic's annualized revenue was $65 billion, surpassing its competitor OpenAI's $40 billion. In the second quarter of this year, it recorded its first positive adjusted operating profit, and it is projected that annual revenue could reach up to $200 billion by 2028. After the IPO, the company's valuation is expected to reach as much as $2 trillion. If Anthropic completes its IPO this year, it will enter the stock market ahead of OpenAI.
