In July, exports of condensed milk and milk-containing products from Ukraine increased compared to June. However, compared to the same period last year, total dairy product shipments decreased, as did export revenues. Prices for dairy products remained stable. Germany accounted for 43% of total exports, while Moldova accounted for 11%, Kyrgyzstan for 9%, Turkmenistan for 8%, Georgia for 7%, and other countries for 22%. Market specialists warn that new veterinary control rules in the EU could complicate part of Ukraine's exports, especially due to dependence on the German market. The new requirements will apply not only to finished products but also to the origin of dairy ingredients and the veterinary status of participating countries. This could create additional challenges for Ukrainian producers, especially if imported vegetable fats are used in the products. It was previously reported that due to falling global prices and low tariffs in Europe, dairy product exports from Ukraine have decreased by 18% in monetary terms since the beginning of the year, but the situation may change in the fall.
