The Film 'Bitcoin' Portrays Craig Wright as Satoshi Nakamoto
The film 'Bitcoin', featuring Gal Gadot, Casey Affleck, Pete Davidson, and Isla Fisher in leading roles, is currently in post-production. Director Doug Liman utilized AI technology, which saved $230 million on production costs. Podcaster Terence Michael revealed that in the film, Craig Wright, the self-proclaimed creator of Bitcoin, is to be depicted as Satoshi Nakamoto. Michael stated that the plot suggests Wright is Satoshi, which is to be the narrative of the film. Gal Gadot will play a journalist, while Pete Davidson will portray cryptocurrency investor Calvin Ayre, who commissions her to investigate Affleck's character, who plays Wright. Wright has claimed for years that he is Satoshi, but the court ruled that there is no evidence to support this claim. Gal Gadot expressed concerns about the use of AI in the film, emphasizing that her lawyers analyzed every possible scenario for six months.

Bitcoin moved back above $81,000 as macro pressure eased at the margin, while NVIDIA’s acquisition of Hugging Face underscored the strategic shift from compute dominance toward control of model ecosystems and developer access points. At the same time, results from Snowflake and Ciena reinforced that AI spending is spreading from semiconductors into software and network infrastructure. Near term, the August U.S. payrolls release is likely to be the key catalyst for rates expectations and valuation direction across growth assets.
