The EU confirms that the US social media platform X has paid a fine of 120 million euros
Thomas Reynier, the spokesperson for digital economy affairs at the European Commission, confirmed that the American social media platform X has complied with the payment of the 120 million euro fine issued by the EU last December before the deadline and has submitted a rectification plan regarding its "blue check certification" feature.
The spokesperson also stated that although X has paid the relevant fine, they are still appealing the penalty.
