Sokal Wind Farm Connected to Ukraine's Power Grid

The Sokal wind farm of the "Eco-Optima" group of companies was connected to Ukraine's power grid in June. The station consists of seven turbines and has a capacity of 39.6 MW. It is expected to produce 122 million kWh of electricity annually, with electricity sales starting on June 4. The license for electricity production was obtained on May 19, 2026. Construction began in January 2025, and the turbines from the German Nordex Group were installed in September. The construction cost was 40 million euros, with financing provided by Sberbank. The general contractor was Nordic-Bud LLC.
