OpenAI IPO May Be Delayed Until Next Year
OpenAI may delay its IPO plans until next year. Previously, OpenAI aimed to complete its IPO before Anthropic, but after Anthropic submitted its listing application, OpenAI also filed its listing documents a week later. The specific timeline has yet to be determined, and it has stated that the timing for going public is still early, with some strategic goals being more conveniently pursued as a private company. Several insiders have revealed that in recent months, some of OpenAI's major investors have privately expressed concerns, believing that the company's rate of capital consumption is too fast and that revenue growth is difficult to match with the scale of expenditures. Additionally, some investors have chosen to diversify their risks while also investing in Anthropic for strategic positioning.
