Kyiv City Council Raises Water Tariff to 63.79 Hryvnias per Cubic Meter
In Kyiv, the water supply and sewage tariff has been increased to 63.79 hryvnias per cubic meter, a decision supported by 74 deputies of the Kyiv City Council. The previous tariff was 30.38 hryvnias per cubic meter. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko noted that the increase is related to rising prices for electricity, fuel, and reagents. He also reported that the National Commission recommended further tariff increases in 2024. Deputy Mayor Petro Panteleev added that the new tariff will help avoid a sharp price increase that could reach around 90 hryvnias per cubic meter. For a family of three, the water bill will increase by 200-300 hryvnias. A mass increase in water tariffs is also expected in other cities of Ukraine, where costs may rise more than twice. Starting from June 1, 2026, a phase of tariff increases for water will begin due to changes in legislation.
