Eminem and Nate Dogg’s 2006 hit “Shake That” returns to the top 10 on multiple Billboard lists, ... More becoming a bestseller again and reaching a new peak everywhere. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Getty Images for MTV) Earlier this year, one of Eminem’s older singles suddenly went viral. This is something that has happened to a number of well-known acts in the past few years, as younger generations pick up on one tune or another, turn it into a trend on TikTok, and if it gains momentum, thousands, if not millions of people rush to streaming platforms and, in some cases, sites like iTunes to consume the cut. Sometimes, this happens because listeners are discovering the song for the first time. Perhaps it was released well before they began exploring music on their own, so it’s new to them. In other cases, the TikTok trend or general social media conversation around the track reminds them of their love for the cut, prompting them to listen once more. Eminem’s “Shake That” has enjoyed this kind of renewed success in 2025 and has been rising and falling on various charts for several months. This time around in the U.S., “Shake That” is a hit once again and even a top 10 smash on a Billboard chart. Eminem’s Collaboration Hits New Peaks Eminem’s collaboration with Nate Dogg appears inside the highest tier on a purchase-centric tally at the moment. “Shake That” returns to the Rap Digital Song Sales chart after not appearing on the list only a few days ago. This frame, it reenters at No. 6. At the same time, the tune jumps from No. 14 to No. 8 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking. It’s back inside the loftiest space again as it nearly halves its position on that list, which includes purchases of tunes in the R&B, hip-hop and rap styles. In both instances, “Shake That” reaches a new high point. “Shake That” is Almost 20 Years Old Eminem and Nate Dogg released “Shake That” in early 2006. The tune was one of a handful of new cuts featured on the rapper’s greatest hits compilation Curtain Call . The tune was a commercial success when it was first released, as it climbed all the way to No. 6 on the Hot 100 and surged toward the top 10 on several other rankings, including Hot Rap Songs list and various radio tallies. Now, nearly two decades later, it has become a sales win once more. Source: https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmcintyre/2025/05/09/eminems-single-reaches-a-new-peak-almost-20-years-after-its-release/
