Bitcoin Options Market Trading Volume Sees 'Explosive' Growth
BlockBeats News, August 4th, according to a news release from Binance sent to CoinDesk, the total trading volume of the BTC options market has surged from $4.11 billion in 2020 to $138.76 billion in June 2025, representing a growth of over 3200%.
Options are a type of derivative contract that gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell the underlying asset at a predetermined price on or before a specific date. Among them, a Call Option grants the right to buy, representing a bullish view of the market, while a Put Option provides downside protection.
